Hi, I’m Kianna.
I have been a therapist for over 10 years and earned my Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology with an Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. I’ve worked in a variety of settings including residential treatment, community mental health centers, and private practice.
I believe we are always changing and growing into the best version of ourselves. I love hearing my clients’ stories and seeing their resilience. I often see the best in them, even when they can’t yet see it in themselves.
Outside of the therapy room, I’m a wife and a mother, navigating balance and growth in all of my roles. My favorite forms of self care are journaling, yoga, reading both fiction and non fiction, and enjoying a good cup of coffee.
My Approach
As a therapist, it is important to me that I create a safe, supportive, nonjudgmental space. I take time to get to know my clients and their lives, their struggles, and their strengths. From there I set goals collaboratively and integrate evidence based practices from modalities like CBT, ACT, DBT, and more. Each session and goal is tailored to the unique individual I am working with.
Client-Centered
You are the expert of your own life and your own experiences. My role is to offer perspective, help point out patterns or blind spots, and support you in areas that are hard or uncertain.
Evidence Based
I use approaches that are research supported and shown to be effective, always adapting them to fit your needs, goals, and lived experiences.
